Ava Brock - Inclusive Collaborator

Ava Brock is a dedicated Senior student at Russellville High School. Known for her kindness, Ava believes inclusivity is the key to creating environments where everyone thrives.

Ava’s inclusion focus has positively shaped her academic and athletic journeys.

Ava says, “Including others allows me to better myself and the people around me. In an athletic sense, including people allows me to grow as an athlete and pushes the team to get better and be more cohesive. In softball, a team sport, you do everything together, so by including others, I am making the team a stronger unit.” Academically, Ava finds that collaborating with others helps her view challenges in new ways, such as improving her math skills and enhancing writing discussions in English.

Beyond academics and athletics, Ava is deeply involved in her school community, expanding her leadership to groups including but not limited to Cyclone Broadcasting, FCCLA, Crown Club, FBLA, Hispanic Honors Society, and as co-captain of FCA.

“I want to help others to the best of my ability, no matter who they are or what they face. I hope to make school a better, more inclusive place for everyone by being a source of joy.”

Ava was recognized at the September Board meeting for being an Inclusive Collaborator.

This recognition comes from the RSD Profile of the Graduate, which outlines the attributes RSD graduates will encompass when they graduate.

Great job, Ava! Thank you for being an excellent example for your fellow students!
