Hello, my name is Robin Johnson. I am the Center Valley Elementary School Counselor. I graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. I earned my Master’s Degree in Early Childhood from Arkansas Tech University. I received my K-12 School Counseling Certification from University of Arkansas Little Rock. I have been in education since 1990. I have worn many hats as an educator. My experience includes classroom teacher, school counselor, and district test coordinator.

My role as the school counselor is to serve the children, parents and community members through a program which is created to teach the whole child. As the school counselor, I am available for children to support their academics, teach study skills, and career awareness. Another important role as counselor is to teach social and emotional skills such as empathy, compassion, responsibility and respect, all of which children need to be successful in life. I teach these skills to students through individual sessions as well as small and whole group lessons. I am looking forward to a wonderful year at Center Valley Elementary.
